The Project

Momoto Eastgardens was a highly detailed hospitality fitout built around a bold concept where virtually nothing came off the shelf. Every major element was custom designed or fabricated specifically for the space, from the oversized moon pendant handcrafted in Italy and specialty vinyl flooring imported from Switzerland, to custom stainless steel patterns etched interstate. Branded flags, curtains, blinds, seating vinyls and graphic elements were all individually produced, while the sushi train itself was custom manufactured in Japan.

With specialist components being produced simultaneously across Australia, Europe and Asia, the challenge extended far beyond construction. Every item needed to be designed, approved, manufactured, shipped and installed in the correct sequence to maintain the 12-week programme. Momoto showcases Metro Deco's ability to manage complex international procurement and coordinate suppliers across multiple countries while construction continues on site. When nothing is standard, coordination becomes everything – bringing together hundreds of bespoke elements into one cohesive space without compromising programme, design intent or quality.
