Inspired by the iconic motel whisky bars of the 1970s and 1980s, Silver's Motel was a project defined by craftsmanship, patience and an uncompromising pursuit of quality. Every element of the fitout was considered in meticulous detail, with the client personally hand-selecting each piece of timber and working through countless stain samples until the perfect finish was achieved. This commitment to craftsmanship helped create a venue that was later recognised as the 2026 Good Food Guide Bar of the Year, cementing its place as one of Sydney’s standout hospitality destinations.
Unlike many contemporary fitouts that rely on prefabricated timber-look materials, Silver’s Motel celebrates the beauty of real timber and the skill required to work with it. The custom spotted gum bar top alone underwent more than 100 coats of varnish to achieve the depth, warmth and durability envisioned for the space. Projects like this cannot be rushed—they demand experience, precision and an appreciation for traditional craftsmanship. The finished venue stands as a showcase of bespoke joinery, handcrafted finishes
and the level of detail that defines Metro Deco's approach to premium hospitality fitouts.
