City Optics was delivered as part of an ongoing retail rollout, with Metro Deco completing the fitout in just four weeks while coordinating a complex procurement and installation process. Unlike a traditional fitout, all custom joinery was manufactured overseas and supplied directly by the client, requiring precise dimensional coordination well before construction was complete. Our team worked closely with the design documentation to ensure every wall, service and structural element aligned perfectly, allowing the prefabricated joinery to integrate seamlessly upon arrival.
To maintain programme and quality, Metro Deco took delivery of the imported joinery at our warehouse, unpacking, inspecting and quality controlling every component before rectifying any defects on behalf of the client's fabricator. Once approved, the joinery was carefully scheduled, delivered and installed on site without disrupting the construction programme. This project highlights Metro Deco's strength in managing complex logistics and coordinating multiple stakeholders, ensuring high-quality outcomes even when critical elements of the project are manufactured beyond our direct control.
